Package Prices

Unlike many venues, Wandering Tree Estate does not offer any price packages. Our maximum guest capacity is 50 people.  The rental fee only includes the use of the Estate during the daytime (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. outdoors and/or indoors if necessary). The rental fee is determined by the total number of guests.  The number of guests does not include any vendors (such as catering staff, if any; photographer; videographer; etc.).  The price is the rental fee for the Estate only and does not include food and drink.  The Estate is rented out for only one specific event per day.  So you will enjoy the only celebration taking place at Wandering Tree Estate on your preferred date!

You are free to pick your own vendors (such as catering, floral, décor, etc…) to complete your wedding. This allows you to have full control over your event and set your own budget. You are not required to pay a minimum (starting) price for food and drink.  Wandering Tree Estate has no “minimums” and does not require you to have any food or drink unless you want to.  You are free to choose any kind of food and drink you want (if you want any at all).  All food and drink must be catered by a third party licensed and insured caterer that has been pre-approved by the Estate.  The list of pre-approved caterers is available here. Drop-off and BYOB are not allowed at Wandering Tree Estate.  

At this time we are currently taking bookings for 2024. Wandering Tree Estate books events only up to a maximum of 12-16 months in advance. The pricing for 2025 will become available by the end of May 2024 at which time we will begin taking bookings for 2025 dates.

16-30 Guests = $2,750

Our pricing for all events is very dynamic and changes depending on the date, time, guest count, and several other factors. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting other types of events such as corporate, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, etc.

By renting the Estate, you get full control over the look and feel of your event. Customize to your heart’s content!

The maximum number of guests at any single event is 50 seated and standing. There is no minimum number of guests. Wandering Tree Estate comprises of 10-acres of gardens, model trains, a model train museum of the City of Chicago, and a sparkling lake. There is an abundance of space for you and your guests to enjoy.

You are not allowed to enter the main house. Wandering Tree Estate is a “living” estate, meaning the house is occupied by the owner of Wandering Tree Estate.

The grounds are open for you and your guests to use freely. There is also a Bridal Cottage that is available. You may also choose to rent the indoor Harvey Silets Memorial Chicago Model Train Museum. There is a separate building with an indoor Party Room that will hold up to 50 guests standing and seated.

Wandering Tree Estate is primarily an outdoor venue. In case of inclement weather, there is an indoor Party Room that can hold a maximum of 50 guests standing and seated.  In addition, we have an indoor Train Museum with working model trains that weave through Chicago area attractions. Wandering Tree Estate also has a Bridal Cottage where brides can get ready for their special day.

Wandering Tree Estate does not offer overnight stays. If you wish to spend the night, there is a hotel just 5 minutes from Wandering Tree Estate.
